Northern Italy

Without question, Italy provides some of the most wonderful indigenous grapes in the world. There are so many great wines; I decided to break them up. Tuscany provides many of Italy’s greatest wines. One can find everything from the perfumed white of the vernaccia grape to the dark, powerful reds of Brunello di Montalcino.

The north has long dominated the wine scene in Italy with wines of Piedmont, Veneto, and Alto Adige, joining suit with Tuscany. You will decide which wines are worth hunting down and getting to know, I believe they all are; yet the wines will speak for themselves. The night will be dedicated ultimately, to all things Italian (including extraordinary dishes paired especially for these great wines)!
